Riotfish is an anthology comics site that updates on Tuesday and Friday. We have resumed from a brief hiatus and are currently leading with Newspaper Comic Strip:

Newspaper Comic Strip is about a comic strip character who becomes self aware. He doesn’t know how this happened – he can’t remember anything, including what he’s supposed to be doing. The strip occurs in real time, so it’s best to think of this as one long moment-to-moment story, and not interwoven daily gag strips, despite how much it resembles them.

Recently our hero has discovered that he has a wife, who he doesn’t trust, and that, while it seems like only half an hour has passed to him, Halloween and Christmas have passed in the newspapers. He has also found that he can see into the other newspaper comic strips that surround him.

Other Comics

The Descender – A mysteriously unfolding science fiction story about an amnesiac man lost amongst strange, futuristic tower-like structures. Start reading here!

Random Commercial Parody – We take commercials that have distressed us in the distant and recent past, and parody them.

1989 – a radical 80′s tale told in 12 issues, where each one is a different month of the year. The story follows a gang of small town losers and destitute dreamers as they travel the crumbling, neon-yellow brick road of the late 1980′s. Watch as kids, monsters, aliens, androids, cowboys, indians, spies, the mentally deranged, and the completely hopeless all tumble together inside a hamster wheel of mad dreams and real despair. All of this and more, without the help of the internet! Start here…

Miscellany

Occasionally, we put up strips like Jared Man , Gunman vs Targetman or other Fake Newspaper Comic Strips. The Art Gallery is a repository of paintings, illustrations and other things that are not comics, but still fall under the Riotfish umbrella.
