UPDATE: Comics return Thursday.
It has come to my attention that in the late 1980′s Philip Glass did a ‘science fiction opera’ about alien abduction. How could I have gone so long without knowing this? Are aliens manipulating the time line?
Oh, and if you haven’t noticed, bonus strip this week.

Oooooh, I see. They’re using Dave’s reanimated body as a representation of the vessel they’re in. Our Hero is in what could be the “genital” area of the ship, and he has probably just destroyed at least one of them. Or he’s actually in Dave’s body. But I doubt that.
Also, hahaha, “reinforcements to my nuts”. In-YOUR-endo.
One of them = one of the testicles
Yeah, guys and “them” … it was clear. I’m going to have to stop laughing before I produce a summary for the vision impaired here.
Action Summary for Those Who Can’t Bear to Watch:
Clad in the zombie suit, our hero stands on a hilltop, clutches his crotch in his left hand and raises his right fist in the air. The right fist swells to be larger than his head and emits glowing, whining energy. Meanwhile, in interspersed panels, the reanimated Dave clutches both hands to his crotch and sweats blue globules as he tries to summon “reinforcements for my nuts.”
I’ve been following this comic from the beginning, and today, my wife asked me what it was about. I was at a loss for words–I know what’s going on– but “The Descender” kinda defies description.
You say, “It’s a about a guy who has lost his memory and is trying to get to safety in a paleozoic punk world.” When they say “What’s paleozoic punk?” you say, “a world where machines are organic organisms so everything seems to be made out of an internal organ or something that lives in a drop of water.” And then when they look at you that way, you say, “It’s kind of hard to explain.”
“Bonus Strip” is code for: “Last strip for a few weeks”
*Even with all this media coverage… sheesh
**I know, I know, presentation packages and whatnot
Wow, if getting hit in the nuts from the outside is like bad, imagine it from the *inside*
