I was at the olympics. I live in vancouver, and it is my favourite place on the planet. I’m glad we got to host it, and-I gotta say-the protesters were usually the ones who looked and acted like that wide eyed woman up there.

I love Vancouver, too. That’s why I’d have liked to see the public tax dollars invested in the Olympics put to more appropriate/helpful use.
If fanatical devotion to a celebration of pointless athletic feats is the closest we can come to “purpose” and “goal-orientation” in a world with so many more important issues to address, I am truly saddened for our entire species.
