This is the second Descender 44. I keep track of these things. And for those who became visually impaired by reading the 1989 series:
“The airborne, bubblelike, exploded remains of the belcher coalesce into streams which converge into a human shaped mass. It falls to the floor where it appears as a clothed faceless human, wearing a tie.”
I am disappointed in the Pink Thing’s callous treatment of that already abused belcher. I though that our descender was going to rescue it from its abusers, not cause its demise. But that does not diminish my enjoyment of the comic.
I do, however, wish to protest the high quality of the artwork in recent strips. With scenes rendered this clearly and well, what will happen to the camaraderie we once enjoyed as the group desperately tried to deduce what the drawing was of? It looks beautiful. Keep it up.
I’d been keeping track of the action in a Notepad file because, especially before you had the theme-by-theme links it was difficult to review previous action after a long gap between strips. Re-reading my own commentary amused me, so I figured I’d put it out there for others.
Besides I’m on a fast connection today and it gave me a chance to go back and watch the art development as the strip progresses.
Oh cool, a prosthetic body for Pink Thing! 8 D

Woops, my bad. Fixed.
PS: Thanks for the Descender commentary? I think?
