Just want to chime in and say that I was generally floored by District 9. I’ve seen some negative reviews here and there, but I don’t buy them. I love Neill Blomkamp’s kinetic style, the heavy use of surveillance footage, the dark humour, and when that waned near the end, I didn’t mind trading it in to see private military contractors asploding.
And now for something completely different. Oh, and these are pretty cool.

Whoa! A brilliantly coloured, panel-consuming “POP” presumably destroys the belcher. NOW WHAT, INDEED!
Also, I just got from seeing District 9. It’s like half-politically-driven-provocative-documentary and half video game movie that’s better than any other video game movie.
