Announcement of interest: I did some back cover art for the Winter 2008 issue of On Spec magazine, which is a long running Canadian sci-fi/fantasy quarterly. My painting is not featured on their site, but you can check it out at the Riotfish gallery here. The issue features the winners of a young writers competition, as well as an interview with Boing Boing’s Cory Doctorow.

I just hope that when the belcher next “belches,” no parts of its last meal are recognizable. I’m pretty sure that headless corpse was a member of our guy’s crew.
I’m sure the Belcher’s apparently strong stomach acid has thoroughly dissolved the Descender’s friend’s decapitated body by now…
There could be a wedding ring or ID tags or something.
